Mignon – Pink Amethyst and Aquamarine Necklace with Lepidolite Pendant Just before Thanksgiving, I attended a gem show specifically to catch up with one of my favorite vendors whose specialty is unique gemstone pendants. These pendants are generally in a more earthy genre, but so appealing because of their unique selection. This year was no disappointment and I came away with a little stash of wonderful exotic gemstone pendants. The “Mignon” necklace is the first of those pendants to be designed into a gorgeous necklace. Prim & proper golf ball shaped pink amethyst beads are hand-linked with stunning blue aquamarines in an organic rondelle shape. The unique color combinations of violet and pale aqua blue lend a feminine quality to an otherwise earthy design. A “frill” of rough cut aquamarines combined with smoothly polished pink amethyst rondelles crowns the unique free form pendant of Lepidolite (a member of the mica family with a unique violet pearl-like luster) that has been banded in 24K gold. This very aptly named necklace suits the name “Mignon” for its delicate & dainty demeanor. Reference: 19705
