Seaside Soiree Necklace – Shells & Freshwater Pearls I am frequently asked, “What inspires you when creating a new jewelry design?” More often that not – my response is that the gemstones and/or pendants are the driving force as to how I design a certain necklace, bracelet or earrings. Such was the case with the Soiree Collection. I wanted to incorporate a wire twist technique into something that had a lighter feeling for the summer months. With the almost sheer neutral color of shell pink/peach stepping forward into the fashion spotlight this season – the “Seaside Soiree Necklace” was conceived. Beautiful creamy conch shells in various shapes and sizes are juxtaposed with swirly little Lisway shells, precious petite carved tulip shells and satiny “creamsicle” freshwater pearls. The Botswana swirled trumpet shell creates a magnificent feature pendant for this charming new design. Throw this on with a cute khaki skirt and white t-shirt and you are ready for a day of shopping in Nantucket or really “pulled together” look for casual Friday at the office. 16” long.
